Our non-clinical Master of Arts (M.A.) degree is for those not aiming to be speech-language pathologists or get American Speech-Language-Hearing Association certification. It prepares you for jobs in industry or a Ph.D. program.
In addition to a relevant bachelor’s degree, you’ll have to complete 40 graduate credit hours approved by your advisor. Out of these, 20 hours must be at the 500 level in Speech and Hearing Science (SHS). While not required, we highly recommend writing a master’s thesis, which can count for up to 8 credit hours.
