Husain receives Lemann Institute-FAPESP Collaborative Research Grant

Associate professor Fatima Husain has been awarded a Lemann Institute-FAPESP Collaborative Research Grant to aid in research of tinnitus using brain imaging. The grant will support Husain and two students as they travel to Brazil to collaborate with researchers at the University of Sao Paulo, and in hosting seminars in Champaign-Urbana.

The Lemann Institute-FAPESP Collaborative Research Grant supports faculty for two years as they develop a research project with a faculty member in São Paulo, while FAPESP – The São Paulo Research Foundation – supports the Brazilian researchers. FAPESP and the University of Illinois established a cooperation agreement in 2015 to deepen collaboration between researchers at Illinois and from universities in São Paulo.
