Alissa Nickerson published in "Audiology Today"

Alissa Nickerson, a 4th year AuD student, contributed an article to the July/August 2016 issue of Audiology Today, bimonthly publication from American Academy of Audiology for member communications about audiology and related topics. The article is titled “Examining the PhD Shortage in Audiology” and was co-authored by Arun Joshi (4thyear AuD student at University of North Texas).  In the article  T35 traineeships (NIH National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders Short Term Research) are mentioned as one of the research experience options available for graduate students.  Alissa qualified to participate in the T35 traineeship at Washington University in St. Louis, MO during the summer of 2015.

Alissa is serving on the National Student Academy of Audiology Education Committee.  She is completing her 4th year externship at Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago.
