Research and Professional Interests
Dr. Grindrod's teaching interests are in the areas of acquired language disorders, language processing and cognitive neuroscience. His research interests include:
- Neural basis of language processing (using data from both functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) experiments and behavioral experiments of
individuals with acquired language disorders)
- Role of left and right cerebral hemispheres in integrating word meanings into higher-level sentence and discourse contexts
- Cognitive bases of neurological communication disorders
